SPRINGFIELD, MA (July 14, 2026)— The Vann Group, a boutique lower-middle-market M&A advisory firm, today announced that it served as the exclusive sell-side advisor to Industrial Precision, Inc. in its acquisition by Alinabal Group, a manufacturer of precision metal components and assemblies for high-performance industries headquartered in Milford, Connecticut.
Founded in 1974 and based in Westfield, Massachusetts, Industrial Precision built more than five decades of standing in aerospace machining, operating a 25,000-square-foot facility certified to AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, and ITAR standards and employing 60 people. The Vann Group worked alongside ownership throughout the process — from positioning the company and identifying qualified strategic buyers to structuring and negotiating a transaction that reflected the business’s long-term value.
As part of the transition, Doug Smith — Industrial Precision’s President since 2006 and a member of the company since 1979 — will remain in a consulting role before retiring at year-end, while Steve Hitchcock, previously Vice President, will step into the role of General Manager to lead day-to-day operations. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The deal adds to a wave of consolidation across the aerospace and defense supply chain, as larger manufacturers acquire certified, specialized capacity to meet rising customer demand.
